Two Sharks selected to participate in the All-Star festivities

The 36 other All-Stars and the 12 players in the SuperSkills competition were named earlier today. Defenseman Dan Boyle will be in the All-Star Game, and center Logan Couture will be in the skills competition. Both are very deserving to be in their respective game. It was mentioned in the previous article, but I’ll mention it here as well. Boyle leads all NH players in average time on ice per game, and he’s been the most consistent player on the team this year. The defense corps has really struggled this season, which means Boyle is heavily leaned on to play major minutes. Couture has 19 goals, which not only leads all rookies, he’s 10th among all NHL players. He’s slowed down a bit as expected, but he’s still one of the favorites for the Calder Trophy at this point. The “fantasy draft” will take place on Friday, January 28. The skills competition will be Saturday, and the All-Star game will be on Sunday.
