Hopefully, Nemo isn’t the only storm about to hit Boston. Tyler Seguin has been overdue for a breakout in terms of goal scoring, and the floodgates might have begun to open on Wednesday night against the Canadiens. Despite playing well and at times appearing to be the best player on the ice for much of this season, Seguin had just one goal to show for his efforts — and an empty netter, at that. That changed against the Habs, when Seguin’s goal seconds into the third period sparked the Bruins to victory. NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is hoping that Seguin has a storm of goals brewing now, and that he’s finally about to capitalize on the potential that so many Bruins fans see this year. That’s why, despite a stellar game by Tuukka Rask, Seguin is our “Northeaster” player of the game. Who’s yours? Take Our Poll Join NESN Nation: In-game home page | Twitter | Facebook

The Greatest Bruins Dennis Seidenberg Jersey Ever

There's been many jerseys in the Bruins history that have come and gone and tugged at our heart strings. Many believe that the 1926 Bruins jersey is one of the greatest of all times, and I tend to agree. There's something simplistic about the design that reminds you of a time when players didn't use helmets and people wore suits to games. It was a simpler time in hockey...

Tuukka Rask Faces Onslaught Early, Holds Steady in Bruins’ Win Over Montreal (Video)

When the Bruins head north to Montreal, they know they’re going to have to come with full energy right from the drop of the puck, and that was again the case on Wednesday. During the first 10 minutes especially, the Canadiens brought everything they had against the B’s and goaltender Tuukka Rask in particular. Luckily for Boston their netminder was up to the challenge, putting...

Tuukka's struggles versus the Canadiens

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask is off to the best start of his young career, sporting a 5-1-1 record, 2.10 goals-against and a .919 save percentage through six games played. Despite those impressive numbers, Rask has had an up-and-down season against the Northeast Division. He's had solid wins against the Rangers and Maple leafs, a gut-check overtime loss versus those same blue shirts...

Bruins trade suspended G Tim Thomas to Islanders

Veteran goalie Tim Thomas, who has said he won't play this season, was traded by the Boston Bruins to the New York Islanders on Thursday for a conditional second-round draft choice either next year or in 2015. Thomas chose to take this season off following the NHL lockout and was suspended by the Bruins after he didn't report to training camp last month. The 38-year-old...

Everyone and their mothers interviewing Shawn Thornton this week

Welcome to the Shawn Thornton Mancrush Boston MSM. There's some room in the back seat where the dog pooped. Anyways, seems like everyone wants a piece of Shawn Thornton since he got concussed by John Two Left Feet Scott. Getting a concussion seems to be the best PR move Twos has ever done. DJ Bean asked Thornton about some folks saying Chara or Lucic shouldn'...

The P-Bruins became the latest professional sports team to join in the effort to end homophobia in sports, an effort that is being led by the You Can Play Project. Tuukka Rask’s Emergence as No. 1 Goalie Driving Force in Bruins’ Hot Start to Season (Podcast)

Coming into this season, some fans might have worried about Tuukka Rask taking over the reins as the Bruins’ starting goaltender. It appears that those worries were unwarranted. Rask has been excellent in replacing Tim Thomas as the B’s No. 1 goalie, and the team’s 7-1-1 record to start the year reflects that. Tim Thomas Trade

It's usually a big deal when a future Hall of Famer gets traded.  If Tim Thomas returns to the NHL and he is motivated to play at a high level today's trade could be a big deal someday.  Right now it is a trade that has been made for bookkeeping reasons and to allow teams to try to circumvent their CBA responsibilities. Tim Thomas has been traded from the Boston Bruins...
