4-2 loss in Buffalo comes down to special teams. While the hapless Blue Jackets went a horrid (even for them) 0 of 6, the Sabres went 2 for 3. Conveniently, the margin of victory. Columbus is an unworldly 10% with the man advantage on the season. Despite peppering Ryan Miller's stand-in for 43 shots, the team just cannot score on consistent basis. Jeff Carter is still out. What a mess.

For once in my lifetime, I actually agree with Bucky Gleason on something. Bucky wrote the following this morning:
"No matter what senseless blather is drummed up in the community or what you read in the blogosphere or suspect when Miller has a rough night, there is no goaltending controversy in Buffalo. Miller will remain the No. 1 goalie so long...
I've been to a pair of Sabres games this year and they lost both of them, 4-3. I'm planning to make my return on Wednesday against Philadelphia.
As for tonight's matchup against the Panthers, Ryan Miller will get the start in net. He put up 22 saves in a shutout performance against them last time.
With crisp memories of a 3-0 shutout a few games back, the Sabres...
The Buffalo Sabres' Ryan Miller hasn't won since shutting out the Florida Panthers last week.
After getting a day off, it seems likely he'll be back in goal Saturday night as Buffalo seeks a fourth straight victory over the Panthers.
Miller has surrendered six goals on 48 shots in losing two games since making 22 saves in a 3-0 win over Florida on Oct. 20. He has been...
The Blue Jackets are without center Jeff Carter, who is sidelined because of a stress fracture in his right foot.
Admit it. You are a little put out by the news that one of your favourite former Philly Flyers will be in street clothes in Buffalo tonight.
Jeff Carter will not play tonight. Its his fifth consecutive game lost due to the fractured bone in his right foot.
Jax head coach, Scott Arniel, likes what he saw from his forwards on Tuesday night. The forwards got pucks deep and made...
Despite trading Jeff Carter and former captain Mike Richards in the offseason to clear space for goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov's massive contract, the Philadelphia Flyers are again among the NHL leaders in scoring.
Bryzgalov, though, doesn't feel like he's giving his new club much of a return in its investment.
Losers of four of five, the Flyers will try to win their sixth...
Sometimes the NHL schedule does you a favor, like Saturday when the Hawks get an immediate chance to make amends for wasting our and their time the night before in Carolina. And they get to do it against the league's worst team at home.
You can't ask for a curveball that's hanging more than this.
Columbus has had a woeful start to the season. They're 1-8-1. They...

I recently say down with (fake) Tim Panaccio to discuss how the season has been going, the offseason moves, the two Pronger’s and his love for exotic refreshment.
The satire Q&A can be read below:
Flyers are looking like a playoff team early on this season, what have you seen?
FTP: The playoffs are an intangible thing, Dustin. I don’t think any...
