The Los Angeles Kings have now won seven out of eight games after a rocky 3-5-2 start, and on Wednesday night that streak continued. After trailing 1-0 midway through the third period against the Detroit Red Wings, the Kings came back to win 2-1 thanks to sweet goals by Jeff Carter and Anze Kopitar. Kopitar’s game-winner was especially awesome, as he made a sweet finish as he juked out Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard and slipped the puck past him. The above video is just more evidence that Kopitar may be the most underrated player in the NHL. It was Kopitar’s sixth goal of the season and the win improved the defending Stanley Cup champions’ record to 10-6-2.
