Last season, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger missed 32 games with a hand and back injury; a season which he called "the year from hell".
Early in tonight's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pronger caught Mikhail Grabovski's stick in the face on a follow-through and fell to the ice. The 37-year old blueliner left the ice in a hurry, with his pain audible to everyone in the crowd:
Being able to hear a guy like Pronger yelling in pain as he leaves the ice is a frightening thing.
Pronger did not return to the game and the Flyers have not yet release any information on the injury. We'll update once the team announces his status.
