Justin Abdelkader will be lost for the Red Wings for Games 4 and 5 after a devastating hit he left on Anaheim’s Toni Lydman in the second period of Game 3 Saturday night. After the game, Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock didn’t think any suspension was in order for Abdelkader suggesting it was a shoulder to shoulder hit with no contact being made to the head. “To me, I watched the hit again today and, holy mackerel,” Babcock said. “I don’t know what you’re going to be suspended for, but that’s me.
