Per one of the Flyers players, the team has given defenseman Kimmo Timonen a one-year contract extension. The four-time NHL All Star is still the Flyers' most important defenseman and would have been the top remaining name on the UFA defense market this summer.
I am working to find out what the salary will be for the season. Timonen is making a salary of $3 million this season...
