TEAMS: Boston Bruins
Even though the Stanley Cup Finals finished just 10 days ago, fans of the NHL are already looking forward to next season, as the league announced its 2012-13 schedule on Thursday. The Bruins begin the season with a trip to Philadelphia to take on the Flyers on October 11. The two teams met in the season-opener last year as well, with the Flyers claiming a 2-1 win to spoil Banner Night at the TD Garden. From there, the Bruins will play road games against the Devils and Canadiens before playing the Canadiens again in Boston for the team's home opener....

Bruins goalie Thomas waives no-trade clause

Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas, who does not plan to play next season, waived his no-trade clause, general manager Peter Chiarelli said Friday, according to ESPN Boston. The clause would have expired July 1, but Thomas waived it early, possibly so that the Bruins can trade him before or during the upcoming draft. "He has given me a complete waiver of his no-trade clause...

Patrice Bergeron Just Doesn't Want to Forget to Thank Anyone After Capturing Selke (Video)

As a 12-year-old kid, the only thing Patrice Bergeron hated more than he loved scoring goals was having his team scored on while he was on the ice. On Wednesday, Bergeron was (finally) honored by the NHL with the Frank J. Selke Trophy, recognizing the best defensive forward in the league. Finishing the 2011-12 campaign with an NHL-leading plus/minus rating of plus-36, Bergeron also...

Bergeron had 22 goals and 42 assists for the Bruins while racking up a plus-36 rating...

Malcolm Subban Promises to Add Spice to Montreal Rivalry, Talent to Bruins Net in Coming Years

When the Bruins' turn to walk to the podium in the opening round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh finally came late Friday night, Boston fans feared the worst after murmurs of the unthinkable started to spread. Could the club really select a player with family ties to one of biggest villains in franchise history? Turns out they only had to worry about a relative of one...

Bruins Enter NHL Draft in Midst of What Could Be Another Very Busy Offseason

Peter Chiarelli has said that he doesn't want to disrupt the Bruins' core too much, but the B's general manager has been a pretty busy guy already this offseason. Chiarelli has worked to re-sign players like Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell. He's also had to deal with the Tim Thomas situation, which took another weird turn on Friday when Chiarelli revealed that Thomas...

Bruins Select Goalie With First Round Pick

The Boston Bruins selected goaltender Malcolm Subban with the 24th pick in the 2012 NHL Draft. This was a really stupid pick by the Boston Bruins.  I have no idea why they would draft a goalie with their only first round pick.  We already have Tuukka Rask as our long-term goalie and Anton Khudobin as a back-up.  Not to mention that Malcolm Subban...
