The Bruins stunned the Maple Leafs in overtime of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. The game was nearly out of the Bruins’ hands when they charged back and pulled the rug right out from underneath the Leafs, rallying from a 3-point deficit to win. Many question whether or not the Bruins have enough stamina to make their way to the Stanley Cup final, but their next task will be taking on the New York Rangers on Thursday night in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The two teams are pretty evenly matched, and Rangers head coach John Tortorella even said, “Both teams play a pretty similar game as far as straight ahead and just grinding it out.” The series figures to be a back-and-forth battle between two teams that both value the defensive style of the game and have solid, battle-tested coaches. With the New York Rangers-Boston Bruins second round playoff series getting ready to start Thursday night, Rangers head coach John Tortorella’s yearbook photo emerged on the Internet.  The photo itself isn’t a big deal but a lot of the information above the photo raises a lot of questions.  When did someone add the “s” to his nickname to make it “Torts?”  What does...

John Tortorella’s High School Yearbook Photo Surfaces Prior to Bruins-Rangers Series (Photo)

John Tortorella made it very clear following the Rangers’ morning skate prior to Game 1 on Thursday that he doesn’t want to talk about himself; he just wants to talk about his team. John Tortorella thinks the Washington Capitals are whining

We've already discussed Alex Ovechkin's comments after the Washington Capitals departed from the playoffs in the first round. In our article, we highlighted that Ovechkin and his teammates would be better off not making excuses and should instead take responsibility for their actions. As it turns out, New York Rangers coach John Tortorella wasn't a fan of Washington...

You Still Want Torts Fired?

After a rough start to this lockout shortened season, there were plenty of calls from Rangers fans for John Tortorella's head. He's lost the room, the players have given up on him and he's too stubborn were reasons given. Apparently, Rangers fans forgot that he had guided the Blueshirts to their first Eastern Conference Final since 1997 just seven months prior...

NY Rangers Coach John Tortorella’s Hilariously Confusing High School Yearbook Entry (Photo)

Behold, the most random/perplexing yearbook entry of perhaps…ever? The awesomeness that was the JR Smith Yearbook entry is quite the opposite for NY Rangers coach John Tortorella. ‘Torts’ is a pretty serious guy as it is, and from the looks of his facial expression he’s always been that way. Will we ever find out what happened in Lana’s garage? We may never know. Courtesy of Deadspin

Capitals and Rangers continue to argue despite the fact their series is over

It's rare that a playoff series gets more intense after the series has been completed and one team has advanced to the next round. On one side of the Bruins-Rangers series you have a team that is tough, values good defense, has terrific goaltending and struggles to produce much of anything on the power play.
