COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Cam Ward, who was taken to a hospital Saturday after being injured during the game with the Columbus Blue Jackets, received stitches and is expected to return to Raleigh on Sunday. Ward suffered a laceration to his left leg in the first period when hit by the skate of the Jackets' Rick Nash. The injury was called "significant" by Canes coach Paul Maurice and Ward's return is not known. Team officials said that Ward was in stable condition.
