Capitals center Mike Ribeiro sent the Rangers back to Madison Square Garden down 3-2 in a Best of 7 series. Ribeiro scored the overtime winner off of a Karl Alzner shot from the point which went right off of Ranger’s goalie Henrik Lundquist to a perfectly placed Ribeiro who put the biscuit in the basket.

One of the most exciting 2013 NHL playoff series has to be the Eastern Conference quarterfinals match-up between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals.
With the series tied at 2 and game five heading to an overtime period, things appeared to be getting tight on both sides.
With nine minutes gone in the overtime period, Capitals defenseman Mike Ribeiro ended the game...

The Capitals lead the series 3-2. Game 6 is Sunday in New York.
The home team has won every game in the series...

His presence on the Capitals’ first power play of Friday’s game, however, was exactly what the team needed to break through an otherwise impenetrable Henrik Lundqvist. Eleven seconds of power play time, and Ward had the Capitals’ first and only...
One of the more surprising moves at the trade deadline this year was the Washington Capitals trading 2012 first round pick Filip Forsberg to the Nashville Predators for Martin Erat and minor leaguer Michael Latta. I picked this as a good longterm move for Nashville and a bad longterm move for Washington. There are few players with Forsberg`s potential and you don`t give them...

Even though I lost my mom a few years ago, I still think of her especially when it comes to hockey.
One memory will always stand out.
During the Wings cup run in 1998, I was luck enough to win 2 tickets to watch game 3 of the SCF against the Washington Capitals, tickets courtesy of a local radio station.
It was a fly in a few hours before the game, go to the game and fly out...
