Rangers Review:
Just when I was getting all over Brandon Dubinsky, the guy comes through and gives the Rangers a much needed boost. It wasn’t even about the goal he scored, his presence on that 3rd line helped the Rangers roll 3 lines all night without a problem, sprinkling in some 4th line action as well. That is the way John Tortorella wants to run a hockey team anyway. It’s the way he won a championship. Big minutes to the top line. Semi-big minutes to the 2nd line. Medium minutes to the 3rd line. Very light minutes to the 4th line. I’m ok with that to be honest. The Rangers are better when their better players play more minutes. Most teams are. Now if you could get me a 4th line that could actually contribute, I wouldn’t have a problem seeing them 8, 9, 10 minutes a night. But as it is, Rupp, Prust, and Fedotenko shouldn’t see more than 5 or 6 which is pretty much what they got tonight. It will be interesting to see what this team does with Chris Kreid...

… well deserved. I thought Dubi played his best game all season last night against the Isles and even notched the first goal of the game. Hopefully this will be the beginning of more goals for Dubi.
This Is Why I Love Dubinsky
I, like most Rangers fans, have a preference for home grown players. And I especially love those who find it a privilege to wear the Blueshirt. And Brandon Dubinsky is one of them. While he's had a tough start to the season in the goal scoring department, Dubinsky has continued to give 100% every night and his passion to win is always on display as evidenced by this great pic...
Dubinsky ends drought as Rangers win 3 in row
Brandon Dubinsky scored his first goal in more than a month, Marian Gaborik moved into a tie for the NHL lead with his 20th, and Martin Biron was solid in net to lead the New York Rangers to a 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Thursday night.
John Tortorella Postgame Interview After Win Against New Jersey
… love the coaching by Torts this year although the “Pro Avery Lifers” will disagree, but Torts is doing a hell of a job with this team and the youth is all here now because of John Tortorella. Give the man the props he deserves.
Watch HBO’s 24/7: Rangers/Flyers Episode Two
Last week after episode one, I wrote that I wanted to see more of Lundqvist, Girardi, Staal, Sather, and of course Torts in episode two. Fortunately, most of my wish was granted. As promised, here is episode two. Enjoy!
(Spoiler Alert)
People’s irrational hate for John Tortorella has finally started to die down. Obviously the Rangers performance is driving this, but I would...
Tortorella pre-game
Short and sweet.
Same lineup tonight. Jeff Woywitka re-injured his foot this morning and won’t play. Not sure if it’s now worse or if he’ll be out longer.
He talked about Martin Biron very briefly, and about Mike Rupp. Wouldn’t answer questions on “24/7”

HBO 24/7 Rangers-Flyers Episode 2
Episode 1 lived up to the hype. It featured a whole lot of swearing (as usual), John Tortorella ripping into Marian Gaborik and Ilya Bryzgalov telling us about the universe.
Episode 2 also promises to be good (I won’t spoil anything for you).
Enjoy!

Pregame: Rangers, Isles Look For Third Straight Win
The New York Rangers will continue on with rivalry week this evening when they host the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden for the first time this season. The previous two matches between these teams, which were played in October and November, both took place at Nassau Coliseum. So far the series is split, with the Islanders taking the first match-up and Brad Richards'...
Gaborik Ok After Slash
Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that after the game John Tortorella said Marian Gaborik was fine after taking a slash to the shoulder on his goal last night....great news! Got to admit, I was real worried watching him wince in pain on the bench. The season actually flashed before my eyes. Here's video of the play...
