SAINT PAULMINNEAPOLIS, Minn. The Minnesota Wild have recalled forwards David McIntyre and Casey Wellman from the Houston Aeros and reassigned center Warren Peters and defenseman Nate Prosser to Houston. The team also activated defenseman Greg Zanon off of the Injured Reserve List today.
McIntyre, 24 (2487), has recorded 11 points (7-4=11), 27 penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-5 rating in 20 games with the Aeros this season. He recorded 30 points (12-18=30) and 51 penalty minutes (PIM) in 78 games during his first professional season for the Albany Devils (AHL) in 2010-11. The 6-foot, 194-pound native of Oakville, Ont., played four seasons at Colgate University (2006-10) and collected 131 points (56-75=131) and 227 PIM in 151 contests. Following the completion of his collegiate career he skated in 12 regular season games with the Lowell Devils in 2009-10 and tallied five points (3-2=5). McIntyre notched a goal and an assist in five playoff contests.
Wellman, 24 (101887), leads the Aeros and ranks seventh in the AHL with 11 goals, while pacing the AHL with seven power play goals. He is also tied for first on the Aeros with 19 points in 20 contests. The 6-foot, 186-pound native of Brentwood, Calif., has skated in 27 career games with the Wild, totaling five points (2-3=5).
Peters, 29 (71082), collected one assist, 14 PIM and won 35 of 52 face-offs taken (67.3) in nine games with the Wild after being recalled on Nov. 8.
Prosser, 25 (5786), tallied four assists and eight PIM in 14 games and averaged 19:40 in time on ice per game after being recalled by Minnesota on Oct. 29.
