TEAMS: Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings
How does one sum up the keys to winning the first game of a potential four game comeback?
There truly is no set of special keys that unlock this magical door we hope the Vancouver Canucks can open. They simply must be the best in every way, shape and form.
Is it possible? Yes.
Is it probable? It’s always been.
Is it certain? Not by a longshot.
This is truly the moment where the team must take it one game at a time. This is nothing but the perfect opportunity for Captain Henrik Sedin and his team-mates to put all their chips on the table. Sure we talk about game three being a must-win, but this is literally a must-win.
So about those keys; what are some of them?

They’re pretty obvious; win every puck battle, get traffic in front of the net, shoot from everywhere, play like the team they were born to be.
Hell, forget about the fact you have Daniel Sedin back (possibly). They should have won without him. Straight up, this team did not need Daniel Sedin to have beaten the Kings in any of games 1, 2, or 3.
For Luongod sakes, throw all the damn cliches out the playoff window. Nothing else matters now but all those freakin’ millionaires playing like pros and not like Oscar deserving actors.
Anyways, no one needs me to tell them that but what I do want to impress on every Canucks fan out there is that it is important for fans to send good vibes down to Los Angeles.
They honestly shouldn’t need us at this point. It’s baffling how they’ve gotten themselves into their current situation and frankly, leaves most people I speak to speechless.
This is however, where they need us most.I’ll spare you the thoughts the situation where Vancouver loses (oh wait, sorry) but for now, let’s pretend they win.
We go back to Vancouver for Game 5 and they win again.
Back to LA for Game 6 and we win again.
Why do you think the Jets did so well this season? It’s because they had the unwavering support of fans. Something tells me there aren’t many bandwagoners in Winnipeg. Seriously, it’s a huge factor. I’m at work and I hear people talking about the Canucks.
“They’re done.”
“They’ve got no chance of coming back now.”
“LA’s leading 3-0, it’s over.”
Well sorry but last time I checked, you have to win 4 games to win a series and as hockey players and fans know, the final one is the hardest to get. So let’s cheer on our team and push them over the top.
The Canucks have gotten better in every game this series and I firmly believe we are at a tipping point. It’s gone 4-2, 4-2 and 1-0; this is where things turn around and fans can be a large part of it, whether they have travelled to LA to see the game or are back in Vancouver watching on Hockey Night in Canada.
Stand up Wednesday night, wave your playoff towel, scream your lungs out for your team and telepathically send your good mojo to your favourite player.
Am I crazy? I’d be crazy not to believe!
