Can someone please enlighten me as to why McCabe is still a free agent? I realize the St. Catherine's, Ontario native is getting up there in years at 36 years of age and his cap-hit was $5.75 million a season. That would rank McCabe around the top-10 amongst defensemen. These are all the things working against Bryan McCabe I assume?Yet, I still cannot believe Bryan McCabe remains on the free-agent market. McCabe is a veteran of 1,135 NHL contests, over which he has accumulated 528 points. His presence would steady any NHL blueline.
