As the Dallas Stars’ search for a new head coach continues, there have been a few names that have come and gone. Dallas Eakins was a possible candidate last week, until being recently picked up by the Edmonton Oilers as their new head coach. One of the things former Stars coach, Glen Gulutzan, was criticized for was not being a strong, dominant character that the players could look up to. Tortorella is the complete opposite of weak, and with a new crop of players entering into Dallas’ roster, it may be necessary for them to have a strong figurehead that has a lot of coaching experience.
