The Minnesota Wild had to part with one of its goaltending prospects to acquire veteran NHL forward Jason Pominville on Wednesday, so they added goaltending depth in the organization with another trade. The Anaheim Ducks announced on their website that Minnesota acquired goaltender Jeff Deslauriers Wednesday in exchange for future considerations. Earlier, the Wild traded Matt Hackett, 23, along with rookie forward Johan Larsson, a 2013 first-round draft pick, a 2014 second-rounder to Buffalo for Pominville and a 2014 fourth-round pick. Deslauriers, 28, has played in 62 career NHL games with Anaheim and the Edmonton Oilers with a 23-32-4 record, 3.24 goals-against average and .901 save percentage. Deslauriers signed as a free agent with the Ducks on July 12, 2011, and made four appearances in the NHL last season, going 3-1-0 with a 2.74 goals-against average and .903 save percentage. But he was stuck behind veteran Jonas Hiller and rookie Victor Fasth with the Ducks this season. Deslauriers has played eight games for the Fort Wayne Komets of the East Coast Hockey League with a 6-8-0-1 record, 32.5 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. He played two games with Anaheim's team in the American Hockey League, Norfolk, with a 1-1-0 record, 3.51 goals-against average and .889 save percentage. Follow Brian Hall on Twitter.
