SAINT PAUL, Minn. The Minnesota Wild on Saturday placed defenseman Greg Zanon on injured reserve and recalled defenseman Nate Prosser from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.
Zanon, 31, has a groin injury and had played in seven games this season, the last being the Wild's win against Edmonton on Oct. 20. He has scored one goal this season, Oct. 15 against the Red Wings.
Before this season, Zanon had missed only one game in two years with the Wild. And in the two seasons before that with the Nashville Predators, he missed only four games.
Prosser, 25, has one assist and a plus-4 rating in seven games with Houston this season. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Elk River, Minn., played two games with the Wild last season.
