A few days ago the Wild ventured to the hostile confines of MTS Center with their "JV-squad" of 2nd and 4th liners along with a cadre of NHL hopefuls going up against Winnipeg's "Varsity squad".  Recipe for disaster right?  Wrong, the Wild's JV team more than held its own as it peppered the Jets' Al Montoya with shots as they rolled to a 4-1 victory.  Some Wild players are making a statement pretty early in the pre-season so far as Mikael Granlund has been a bright spot the last two games.  Wild newcomer Nino Niederreiter has also played well and seems to make a lot of good things happen on the ice.  Charlie Coyle had a strong game as did hopefuls Erik Haula and Justin Fontaine.  As Minneapolis Star Tribune's Wild beat writer Michael Russo correctly stated, the solid performances of these young forwards is going force the Wild to have to make some tough choices, but that's a good thing.  This is what Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher as well...
