NY Rangers Blog:
On Saturday, James posted about the possibility of Darryl Williams reuniting with Alain Vigneault on the Rangers coaching staff. Today, the Rangers made it official by announcing Williams will replace the recently departed Dan Lacroix as the team’s assistant coach.
Williams spent the last six seasons as an assistant coach with the Vancouver Canucks.
Prior to joining the Canucks, Williams served as the Associate Coach, Video Coordinator, and Strength and Conditioning Coach for the St. John’s Fog Devils of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2005-06 – 2007-08.
Here’s Pat Leonard at the Daily News on Williams’ expected responsibilities…
“In New York, Williams will take over Lacroix’s responsibility of watching games from a bird’s eye view, typically from the press box, and returning to the locker room at intermissions to provide Vigneault and the rest of the staff with a different perspective. Williams will not take over the Rangers’ video responsibilities, however. That...

Over the course of the summer, we have received a lot of questions about the prospects in Hartford. Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to watch/cover the Wolf Pack the way others can. So, I reached out to Bob Crawford (@HawkCrawford), and he was kind enough to answer a few questions that had been raised. […]

New York Rangers 2013 3rd round pick Anthony Duclair was playing for Canada during their U-20 Training Camp and he buried this slick goal against the Czech Republic. Nothing like a little toe drag between-the-legs to walk a defenseman. [@myregularface]

In a bit of old news (sorry for being late on this one), the Rangers have hired ex-Vancouver Assistant Coach Daryl Williams to join Alain Vigenault’s coaching staff. Williams will replace the now departed Dan Lacroix, and will likely be AV’s “eye in the sky.”

After an NHL season where your team makes the Final and loses in Game 5, many might wonder,”Does this team need anything? Can’t we stay the way we are and do it again next year?” If only that were true. With player contracts, negotiations, and player-GM-relations, it can be hard to remain the same team. But I think the Rangers have kept the most important part of their team...
No, the leaves aren’t falling from the trees just yet but, as it relates to the NHL, summertime is growing short. Groups of players will start informally skating at their teams’ practice facilities within a couple of weeks.
As it relates to the Rangers, it means the window for signing defenseman Marc Staal to an extension this off-season — and not letting one of their foundation...
Henrik Lundqvist is one of the most talented goalies in the National Hockey League. Henrik Lundqvist is also one of the most handsome men in the National Hockey League. Henrik Lunqvist recently did a commercial for ‘Bread & Boxers’ underwear and you can watch it ab-AAAAAAND OH MY GOD HE’S SHIRTLESS. Lundqvist is apparently spending his summer stripping down for underwear...

…you know it’s a slow Rangers news day when I’m posting about jersey numbers.
Here's the 2nd dumbest thing you'll see this year. A shirtless Henrik Lundqvist. The most overrated (for his looks) athlete on the planet. [Rangers Blog]Here's Tosh on athletes and hotness.Follow us on Twitter for exclusive stories, Subscribe by Email, or Return Home
Still not much real hockey related news to report in Rangersland, so I figured I’d make my female readers, and some male (not that there’s anything wrong with it), happy with this Henrik Lundqvist shirtless commercial (H/T The Henrik Lundqvist Blog)…
Meanwhile, Mats Zuccarello had a video message for Rangers fans….

Henrik Lundqvist maybe the superstar goaltender for the New York Rangers, but we also learned that the 32-year-old can sure shoot a hot commercial that competes with the likes of David Beckham. Watch as Lundqvist gives his Instagram followers a sneak peak of what he has been doing in the off season.

How will the Rangers supplement the forward depth they lost? -- In his first year as Rangers coach, Alain Vigneault rolled all four lines and got consistent scoring from the top three units. He'll be challenged to do that again this season.
New York got key plays from Richards and Pouliot, who signed a five-year, $20 million contract with...
