The Red Wings took at 2-1 series lead Monday night after a 3-1 win over the No. 1 seeded Chicago Blackhawks in a game that got very chippy late. With just minutes remaining Andrew Shaw and Bryan Bickell began to lose their cool as Bickell took a cross checking minor that put his team down a guy while Shaw was sent to the showers early for instigating. And speaking of Bickell, his back and fourth with Dan Clearly was a pretty interesting talking point with Pierre McGuire immediately after the game. The Wings got goals from Gustav Nyquist, Drew Miller and Pavel Datsyuk whose tally in this series was very reminiscent of his nasty shot in the first round in which Jonas Hiller never saw coming. The Blackhawks’ lone goal came from Patrick Kane, his second of the series which cut the Wings’ lead in half 2-1 in the third.
