The Red Wings have an extra day off after the All-Star weekend, they will be back in action Wednesday February 3rd. The Ottawa Senators, currently 5th place in the Northeast division, will host the Red Wings on a day that could be confused with Christmas if it's the first game back for the likes of Pavel Datsyuk and Dan Cleary.
Datsyuk was averaging better then a point a game before going on the IR. Cleary was on pace for a 40 goal season, he is currently 4 goals shy of matching his season best of 20 goals. Let's hope they pick up where they left off at.
The Senators playing Tuesday night in New Jersey, should help the Wings take advantage of an Ottawa team in search of a goalie and a playoff spot.
