Right about now, NHL players should be doing whatever they can to win back fans so that when the players’ association finally comes to an agreement with the owners, arenas aren’t completely empty.  They have to agree some time, right? Evander Kane, a 21-year old winger for the Winnipeg Jets, apparently isn’t worried about winning back the fans.  Early Wednesday Kane tweeted the photo of him below, holding stacks of one hundred dollar bills on a balcony of the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas pretending to call boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather.  Mayweather is no stranger to pictures of himself with stacks of cash.  The caption of the picture (which was taken in November) read: “Hey @FloydMayweather pick up your phone cause I’m callin#imdifferent @jduppal” As you’d expect, Kane has taken plenty of hits from the media today considering the amount of people (arena workers, local restaurant and bar owners, etc.) losing money from the lockout.
