via Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press, Winnipeg Jets' defenceman Zach Redmond was taken away by an ambulance this morning after suffering a serious cut to the back of his leg during a morning practice at PNC Arena. The rookie blueliner was apparently slashed by a falling teammate's skate. Several players and assistant coaches huddled around Redmond after it happened. Head coach Claude Noel was off the ice when the injury occurred. Once the players cleared away, a lot of blood could be seen on the ice, and players like Antti Miettinen and Anthony Peluso came off the ice with blood stains visible on their socks and jerseys.
