Wojtek Wolski scored in his first game of his conditioning assignment as the CT Whale snapped their eleven game win-less streak by defeating the Albany Devils 3-2.Wolski's goal, which was on the power play, gave the Whale a 3-1 lead. Mats Zuccarello, who assisted on Wolski's goal, had two helpers on the night. Woywitka also had an assist in his first game with the Whale.Sean Avery was a healthy scratch....could Wolski be the missing piece on the Rangers power play? Not unless they're playing an AHL schedule the rest of the way....in all seriousness, I'd still like to see Wolski get one last shot as a top six forward as well as on the power play. If nothing else it could at least showcase him for a deadline deal. For video of Mats Zuccarello discussing his experience playing in the AHL All Star Game, click the "Read More" tab below. The New York Rangers have not been playing their best hockey since last weekend's All-Star break, as they fell to the New Jersey Devils in a heartbreaking shootout on Tuesday, and then managed to defeat the Buffalo Sabres a night later, 1-0, despite a very poor showing from the team in that game.
