Wolksi, Woywitka recalled from conditioning stints

Per the AHL transaction page, both Wojtek Wolski and Jeff Woywitka have been recalled following their two-week conditioning stints. Both guys got into six games with the Whale, with Wolski scoring three goals. He should step right back into the lineup tomorrow with Ruslan Fedotenko banged up, but Woywitka will probably have to sit on the sidelines a little longer. With any luck,...

Lundqvist Dominates Bruins in 3-0 Shutout Win

There should no reason to be surprised anymore when it comes to New York Rangers’ goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. Last night, the “King” made 42 saves in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Boston Bruins. It was Lundqvist’s seventh shutout of the league, which puts him first in the league. Lundqvist’s statistics are simply terrific when it comes to NHL netminders. The soon to...

Pregame: Eastern Conference's Best Faceoff as Rangers Visit Bruins

The month of February has and will arguably be the hardest of the New York Rangers season, and the current stretch of games they are in the midst of has presented some legitimate challenges as far as opponents go. Calls Go Against Rangers

I hate to make excuses because the Rangers didn't deserve to win last night after an atrocious start and going 0-for-7 on the power play, but the refs didn't make life easy for the Rangers.First, similar to the bogus Winter Classic closing the hand on the puck penalty, last night's call on Dan Girardi in the first period was just as egregious. At no point does he close...

Hendrik Lundqvist to Get the Start in Net, Ruslan Fedotenko a Game-Time Decision for Rangers Against Bruins

BOSTON – The Bruins and Rangers meet for the second of four clashes this season between the Original Six rivals on Tuesday, but the Rangers won't be returning to Boston again unless the top two teams in the East face each other in the playoffs.
