Is Dallas Stars forward Brenden Morrow on the trade block? The SportsNet‘s HockeyCentral Trade Tracker panel doesn’t believe that is the case at the moment. But things could change as the February 27 trade deadline nears.
If the Stars are sellers, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News believes that Morrow would be among a number of players the club would want to move. However, a decision on whether they’re buyers or sellers may not be made until sometime in February.
Should the Stars find themselves in a playoff spot, Heika suggests that general manager Joe Nieuwendyk may actually look to bolster his roster rather than gut it.
According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, team sources indicate that the club won’t move their captain before the trade deadline. But while they’re not shopping him, the possibility still remains Morrow could be moved under the right circumstances. Since Morrow is the owner of a no-trade clause in his contract, he can dictate what those circumstances are.

A number of NHL clubs are expressing their interest in Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow's trade deadline availability. The San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and Washington Capitals have all been rumored to be involved in Brenden Morrow trade talks. My question: Is this the right time for the Dallas Stars to deal their captain?TSN'...
Whenever there’s less than a month to go before the NHL trade deadline (February 27 this year), there are bound to be lots of wild rumours bouncing off the walls. One such wild rumour had Corey Perry on his way to the Vancouver Canucks for Corey Schneider, Keith Ballard and Mason Raymond. This is of course a ridiculous trade, one that doesn’t meet the Ducks needs at all. Yet...

When TSN's Bob McKenzie opined that Brenden Morrow may become available to suitors at the trade deadline, I couldn't help but speculate on whether or not there'd be a potential fit in Ottawa.
If you're wondering how long said speculation took - well, about two seconds.
There's a number of peripheral issues to work out regarding any deal that Ottawa - or...
The NHL All-Star break affords the Dallas Stars the opportunity to get Tomas Vincour some much-needed playing time with the club's AHL affiliate in Austin. Last night, in one of the few highlights of the Texas Stars' 6-2 loss to San Antonio, Vincour tallied his 11th goal in 16 AHL games this season. Angelo Esposito also scored for the Stars.
Andrew Raycroft had a rough...
from Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal, • Why should anybody be surprised that Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow might be on the market? There are lots of miles on that chassis from all the punishment he’s taken and dished out, and he just turned 33. He’s still an effective player, but this is the classic case of the Stars checking the level of teams’ interest before...
Q: What was like for you to almost be the last player taken in the All-Star Player Draft?

Frisco, TX – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has activated left wing Brenden Morrow from injured reserve.
Over the next two days, the Stars will regroup in preparation for Wednesday night's game in Anaheim. For the first time since early in the season, Dallas should be able to ice a lineup complete with all of its top forwards, starting defensemen and a healthy number one goalie.
Jamie Benn did not record a point or shot in yesterday's NHL All-Star Game but it was nice to...
On November 8th, everything was shining for the Dallas Stars and their longtime captain, left-winger Brendan Morrow. With a 12-3-0 record, they had a pretty perch atop the Western Conference and looked like legit contenders for the 2011-12 […]

Philip Larsen is definitely glad to be back on the ice for the Dallas Stars. The 22-year-old rookie defenseman returned from a nine-game absence on January 21 in Minnesota and the Danish-born blue liner found the back of the net with a blisterin...
For the first time in several months, the Dallas Stars had every member of their roster on the ice for practice in Frisco. That was definitely a welcome sight for first-year head coach Glen Gulutzan, especially as his team will start the second ...
