Is Dallas Stars forward Brenden Morrow on the trade block? The SportsNet‘s HockeyCentral Trade Tracker panel doesn’t believe that is the case at the moment. But things could change as the February 27 trade deadline nears. If the Stars are sellers, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News believes that Morrow would be among a number of players the club would want to move. However, a decision on whether they’re buyers or sellers may not be made until sometime in February. Should the Stars find themselves in a playoff spot, Heika suggests that general manager Joe Nieuwendyk may actually look to bolster his roster rather than gut it. According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, team sources indicate that the club won’t move their captain before the trade deadline. But while they’re not shopping him, the possibility still remains Morrow could be moved under the right circumstances.
