This is a sad story with no winners, but the tagline of the story is this: the players in the NHL are sick and tired of Gary Bettman, and they will sacrifice their greater financial good to drive this man out of their game.

The NHL lockout is an ugly beast. We've seen it claim the NHL preseason and, barring a major surprise, we'll see it claiming regular season games in the very near future. Fans are outraged and understandably so as the league enjoys its second lockout in nine years.
So what can hockey fans do about it? Unfortunately, not much but that hasn't stopped various groups...
Ryan Dadoun at Pro Hockey Talk reports that during yesterday's second straight day of CBA negotiations, NHLPA boss Donald Fehr and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman had a private conversation...
