Listening to Don Cherry on CBC's coach's corner Saturday, you would think that Nail Yakupov committed sports biggest foul. But looking at the source, that reaction was to be expected, Mr. Cherry is old school and while he can be quite outspoken, he prefers his hockey players to be quiet and demure small town Canadian boys.

As I suspected, Shawn Horcoff was injured by the perfectly innocent hit from behind provided by Phoenix winger Shane Doan. Not only should have Doan received a penalty for that hit, but it should have been sent to the league for review. Absolute cheap-shot.

Shane Doan's dirty hit on Shawn Horcoff near the end of the 3rd period should have been a 5 and a game penalty. It wasn't. Actually, Sam Gagner from the Oilers got a penalty because the refs thought he was tackled improperly by Coyotes forward Nick Johnson. Horcoff left the game, and my guess is, he has a concussion.
