Problems persist for Coyotes, even in fun win

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Slow starts, blown leads, high-scoring games. This is exactly the brand of hockey you expected from the Phoenix Coyotes, right? "Entertainment, entertainment," said coach Dave Tippett, who decided to play along with the narrative for a few quotes following Saturday's 5-4 matinee win over the Edmonton Oilers. "We're going to rewrite history...

Coyotes looking for consistency at blue line

The Phoenix Coyotes have matched their best start in a dozen years, have one of the NHL's highest-scoring offenses, and have shown that no lead is safe. Coach Dave Tippett still isn't happy with the way his team is playing. The goals and wins? Any coach will take those, even a defensive-minded one like Tippett. It's everything else that he is concerned about. '...

Phoenix Coyotes defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-4

Fans of a Dave Tippett coached team are not often treated to the type of offensive explosion seen in Saturday's matinee. "Our game is not in very good shape," Tippett said. "I love scoring...
