SUNDAY'S STORYLINES: The Wild held a team meeting in Anaheim Sunday morning following Minnesota's loss to Los Angeles Saturday night. Head Coach Mike Yeo was unhappy with his team's effort and was very candid in his postgame press conference. "Right from the drop of the puck we weren't ready to play. You always get what you deserve or more then often you get what you deserve we got what we deserved tonight," those were Mike Yeo's words after last night's 5-2 loss to the Kings. Direct. Pointed. Honest. Yeo wasn't going to sugarcoat his team performance. The Wild came out flat and never were able to catch up. The Wild outshot in the first period 3 to 12 but escaped trailing only 1-0. In the second period, the flood gates opened and the Kings netted 4 goals. Yeo said his team wasn't "engaged" in the game from the get go. "(The Kings) won every battle, they executed, they made plays, we couldn't make a pass... it came down to battles tonight. We were not ready to play we were not ready to pay a price physically," added Yeo. The Wild have a quick turnaround playing Anaheim tonight at 5pm (PST). "I am glad we play in less than 24 hours, I can't wait to see how we respond," Yeo said last night. Yeo said he shouldn't have to motivate his team after the 5-2 loss to the Kings. "I shouldn't have to motivate, they should be embarrassed, I am embarrassed and when that happens you come to work the next day and find a way to be better." The Wild didn't only lose the game they lost defenseman Marco Scandella in the first period. It was confirmed today Scandella suffered a concussion. There is no timetable on his return. Defenseman Clayton Stoner who has missed seven games with an injury to his finger will be back in the lineup tonight in Anaheim. OTHER NEWS: Niklas Backstrom, who came into replace Josh Harding last night, will be in goal tonight for Minnesota.

Minnesota overcomes horrible 1st period to prevail 4-2 in Columbus

Hall of Fame weekend normally doesn't hold a lot of interest for me.  The inductees are often just formalities as their career accomplishments and statistics.  Occasionally, a player with limited accomplishments sometimes bypasses more obvious choices.  This year's class; which includes Joe Nieuwendyk, Doug Gilmour, Ed Belfour, and Mark Howe.  Its the decision to include...
