ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Chuck Kobasew, a forward who played the last two seasons for the Minnesota Wild, signed a two-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. Kobasew, 29, played in 42 games for the Wild in 2009-10 and in 63 games last season. He scored nine goals each year. He was one of four players who left Minnesota on the first day of free agency. Forward Andrew Brunette (Blackhawks), goalie Jose Thoedore (Panthers) and defenseman Cam Barker (Oilers) were the others. The Wild had waived Barker earlier in the week.
