There’s nothing better than youth learning and winning at the same time. And that’s exactly what happened for the Wings Monday night in their Game 4 match up with the Ducks.
During the overtime period, Jakub Kindl did a nice job digging the puck out of his own corner as he was able to find his defensive partner Joakim Andersson up ice. From there Andersson connected with a speedy Gustav Nyquist who was able to bring in two Anaheim defenders with him leaving a wide open net for Damien Brunner who buried it past Jonas Hiller to give the Wings the win.
Prior to all of this Brendan Smith also had his first career playoff goal which originally tied the game at one.
The Wings have now guaranteed themselves at least one more home game in this series as they head out West for Game 5 all tied up.
