Blues Add Defensemen Danny Syvret
The St. Louis Blues announced today that they have come to terms with defenseman Danny Syvret on a one year deal.
Syvret joins the Blues after spending the previous season in the AHL playing for Syracuse and Adirondack. In 59 games Syvret accumulated 10 goals and 30 assists for the two clubs.
Syvret was a 2005 third round pick by the Edmonton Oilers and has spent time with the Oilers...

The Flyers organization finally figured out what to do with disgruntled forward Pat Maroon, who was dismissed from the Adirondack Phantoms several weeks ago due to his attitude towards teammates and the coaching staff. Maroon, along with Phantom David Laliberte, has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks for former Flyer defenseman Danny Syvret and left [...]

Tim Panaccio: Syvret Waived Injured
I would not read anything into the waiving of Danny Syvret today except the obvious:
1- Ryan Parent will likely come off LTI this week, perhaps by Tuesday;
2- When that happens, the Flyers will have too many d-men and the final regular season roster has to be set by Wednesday's 3 p.m. trade deadline.
Because he is still injured, the idea here to rehab Syvret w/Phantoms...
Flyers activate Parent, waive Syvret
With the Olympics winding down (USA! USA!), the NHL is getting ready to ramp up once again. Teams have already begun practicing and games are starting up again Monday, a little over 24 hours after the Gold Medal Game. Oh, and then there's the trade deadline, which is just 3 days away, on March 3rd. It's going to be a wild few days of roster moves as teams position themselves...

Flyers lose Syvret for a month, activate Tollefsen
One of the nicer surprises for the Flyers this season has been defenseman Danny Syvret. With all the tumult and inconsistent play going on around him, Syvret has emerged as a solid top 6 d-man for the Flyers. No, he doesn't put up big numbers (4 points in 21 games) but he rarely is out of position and consistently makes the right play. He has made quite a jump from the 7th...
