Today his NHL journey begins as the Flames announced the signing of Ramage.  According to the release Ramage will be on a two year...

Badgers defenseman John Ramage destroys Mavericks forward Teddy Blueger

“That’s contact to the head, that’s a no brainer,” Kevin Gorg said on viewing the hit by John Ramage on Minnesota State Maverick Teddy Blueger. The funny thing with Gorg, he’s supposed to know hockey, but every time he opens his mouth he removes all doubt. I haven’t seen many guys that get hit in the head grab their shoulder. Look at the video, he holding his shoulder...

Leading up to the weekend series with Minnesota State Mankato, Wisconsin men’s hockey coach Mike Eaves felt that the wind was at his team’s sails. Defensive crunch: A pair of Badgers weigh their options

The futures of defensemen Justin Schultz and John Ramage have been a source of great speculation in the Wisconsin hockey community and beyond. Both have been drafted- Schultz by the Anaheim Ducks (43rd overall) in 2008 and Ramage by the Calgary Flames (103rd overall) in 2010. Though they both have a chance to make an impact at the next level, but their paths to get there will likely...

Ramage Hit On Oliver

s/t to Chuck Schwartz... This is the hit that the Wisconsin Badgers John Ramage put on SCSU Husky Nick Oliver. The on ice officials gave Ramage a five minute major for contact to the head and a game misconduct. That was a bad call by the officials in my opinion, it looks from the video that this was a shoulder to shoulder hit. Related articlesMichael Mersch penalty. (
