The Chicago Blackhawks could be without two players Thursday night for Game 5. Center Dave Bolland is doubtful with a pulled groin and Ray Emery is suffering from lower body pain. While they will miss Bolland, Emery is just an emergency backup for playoff games, so if he does miss the game it shouldn’t be a blow to the Chicago squad.

Last season Chicago Blackhawks fans saw both Corey Crawford and Ray Emery struggle from time to time, not making the big saves when they needed to. Also, last season came to a devastatingly short end when Corey Crawford let in a very soft overtime goal that knocked the Blackhawks out of the playoffs early for the second straight year; after winning the Cup in 2010.
After a soft performance on Thursday night, the Blackhawks played a complete game in Nashville on Saturday afternoon. A perfect Ray Emery led the Hawks to a 1-0 victory in the first of two games in two days against the Predators. … Continue reading →The post Ray Emery, Blackhawks Shutout Preds appeared first on Committed Indians.
CALGARY, Alberta -- Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quennville admitted he and his whole team should have been wearing ski masks after their 3-2 shootout victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night. Blackhawks goalie Ray Emery loomed especially large in the larceny on a night he set a career best for saves and shots faced. "That was criminal," Quenneville said....

The second-half of back-to-back games haven’t treated many teams in the NHL kindly this year, and the Blackhawks were once again playing for a second time in 48 hours.
