Pens re-sign AHL scoring leader Kostopoulos

The Pittsburgh Penguins have agreed to terms with forward Tom Kostopoulos on a one-year contract extension with its minor-league affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the club announced on Thursday. Kostopoulos, 35, led the Pens’ AHL club in goals (22) and points (47) last year, and is WBS’s all-time leader in games played (406), goals (122), assists (178) and points (300).

Matt Martin Knocks Tom Kostopoulos Out Cold in One of Quickest NHL Fights Ever (Video)

Well, that didn’t take very long. It took Matt Martin just a few swings to send Tom Kostopoulos to dreamland on Monday night in New Jersey during the Devils-Islanders tilt.
