TYE MCGINN RUMORS & GOSSIP
The Sharks have a pretty big hole to fill in their forward group, now that Raffi Torres is confirmed to be out for months.
One of the more compelling storylines in training camp is who will step to take advantage of the unexpected opportunity, much like Matt Nieto did last season when Torres originally tore his right ACL in a preseason game.
Tye McGinn -- the brother of former...
San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has acquired forward Tye McGinn (@TyeMcGinn) from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a third-round selection in the 2015 NHL Draft.
"Tye is a hardworking player who plays an honest game," said Wilson. "We're excited to add him to our group of young forwards."
After taking part in six NHL games earlier in the season, Tye McGinn made his way back to the Philadelphia Flyers’ lineup this weekend, as both Matt Read and Zac Rinaldo were out with injuries. His two-game tenure with the squad wasn’t as noticeable as his time with the team earlier in the campaign. McGinn failed to register a point and produced one shot on net overall in his...

ROSTER UPDATE: #Flyers loan Tye...
To put it mildly, it's been a strange year for the Philadelphia Flyers. The peculiarity continued Friday when the Flyers sent down Tye McGinn to the American Hockey League. Maybe that shouldn't be a surprise, but as of now, McGinn is the team's leading goal scorer with three tallies in four games.
McGinn's three goals this season, two of which came as the only goals...

Yikes. This photo was found on Gongshow Hockey Gear’s Facebook Page and presumably came from Tye McGinn himself. The Philadelphia Flyers rookie fought Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mike Brown on February 25th and clearly got the worst of it. McGinn knocked Brown early during the fight, but once Brown got back up, it was all over for McGinn. His jersey was ripped and his...
22-year old LW Tye McGinn made his debut with the Philadelphia Flyers a little over a week ago. Only a few days later he found himself in the middle of a scrap with then Toronto Maple Leaf Mike Brown. Brown, a seasoned veteran of the NHL fighting circuit, pounded McGinn and ended up fracturing his orbital bone.
The fight took place on February 25, but a photo surfaced today showing...
