Peter Tessier: Still going... Jets strike Lightning
Let's not get into the details of the game too much, botched officiating or anything else- it all seemed to even out if you can take off the homer glasses. The interesting aspect of this 4 game winning streak, the longest of the Jets season, is how they are doing it.
Massive second periods.
In the past 4 games the Winnipeg Jets have outscored their opposition by a tune...
Winnipeg Jets Defenseman Zach Redmond Set to Return Soon
This past Friday, Winnipeg Jets defenseman Zach Redmond skated at an optional practice for the first time since teammate Antti Miettinen sliced the femoral artery and vein on the inside of his right leg during a game day skate against the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena. This freak accident could’ve been fatal, but thanks to [...]
Winnipeg Jets: Hard Work Finally Pays Off For Aaron Gagnon
It may have taken 31 games, but Winnipeg Jets center Aaron Gagnon finally scored his first NHL goal. Gagnon found the back of the net in Tuesday’s win over the Buffalo Sabres, and his goal came at a great time for a Jets team that is fighting for a playoff spot. His slap shot found [...]
Blake Wheeler Needs To Step Up For Winnipeg Jets
It has been an epic collapse from the Winnipeg Jets in the last couple weeks as the team has fallen from the division lead all the way out of the playoffs. Winnipeg still has a chance to sneak into the playoffs either by going on a hot streak to win the Southeast Division or just [...]
Peter Tessier: Jekyll & Hyde beat Flyers 4-1
The Winnipeg Jets staved off a potential 6-game losing streak yesterday with a strong second period. Â The four unanswered goals in period number two capped off another case of Jekyll and Hyde play from the home team.
Even the most cynical and critical observers of the Jets had to see a period where the Jets came out and dominated from the puck drop to the closing buzzer. ...
GIF: Kane goes crazy in fight vs. Emelin
In their 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, with less than five minutes left in the third period, Jets forward Evander Kane completely lost his temper in this fight vs. Alexei Emelin. Kane threw many hard punches, and for a split second, he actually grabbed Emelin's helmet, and threw it at him. As a result of the fight, Kane got five minutes for fighting and a game misconduct...
Zach Redmond Shows Off Gruesome Scar After Skate Split His Leg Wide Open (Photo)
Scars are just as much a part of hockey as pucks, pads and swear words.
Zach Redmond, who was cut by teammate Antti Miettinen’s skate during a practice at PNC Arena in Raleigh on Feb. 21, has made a “miraculous” recovery, Jets team physician Dr. Peter MacDonald told the Winnipeg Free Press.
And he’s got the cool scar to prove it, as seen below.

Zach Redmond reveals scar from horrific injury
Cited by doctors as a “miracle” recovery, Winnipeg Jets forward Zach Redmond was back on the ice skating on Friday morning, only a little more than a month after suffering a lacerated femoral artery after a teammate’s skate gashed his upper leg. Jets team doctor Peter MacDonald was quoted in the Winnipeg Press as stating that the team expects Redmond back in training camp next...
Winnipeg’s Defenseman Zach Redmond Shows Off What a Slashed Femoral Artery Scar Looks Like
Winnipeg Jets defender Zach Redmond is lucky to be alive following having his femoral artery slashed by a skate just over six weeks ago, and even more incredible is that he returned to the ice today. As a reminder of what happened, Zach has a nice little scar which you can check out below.
Docs for #nhljets expect Zach Redmond to make full recovery and be in training camp, if not...
Evander Kane Tosses Alexei Emelin’s Helmet During Fight in Jets-Canadiens Game (Video)
Alexei Emelin needs to use better judgement when picking his battles.
The Canadiens defenseman, who was pummeled by Zdeno Chara in a game against the Bruins back on March 3, antagonized Winnipeg’s Evander Kane into a fight Thursday night. Kane didn’t take kindly to the instigating, and he proceeded to rip Emelin’s helmet off, toss it violently to the ice and land several hard...
DON'T NEED THAT
Evander Kane chucks foe's helmet during fight
Fighting Evander Kane isn't usually something people enter into lightly, at least not after his one and done knockout of Matt Cooke a couple years ago. He's not only one of the best forwards in the league (and probably the best player on the Winnipeg Jets), he's also got a little temper on him. Alexei Emelin learned the hard way that chirping and antagonizing Kane usually...
Photo of the Week: This Winnipeg Jets Fan
This Winnipeg Jets fan… Hmm.. Take your pick; the guy or the girl? First, the girl is an absolute smokeshow. She may be the NHL hottest fan I’ve seen all year. Who knew the Winnipeg Jets had it in them? Second, the guy. Hilarious. Let’s point out that the guy is with his daughter and [...]

Ryan Callahan scores sick shorthanded goal against Winnipeg Jets
The New York Rangers were in the process of killing a 5 on 3 Winnipeg Jets powerplay when the puck was cleared out to center ice. As Rangers captain Ryan Callahan picked up the puck in the neutral zone, Mats Zuccarello jumped out of the penalty box and they had a shorthanded 2 on 1. Rather than utilize his teammate, Callahan decided to empty out his bag of tricks and pulled off...
