USA Basketball is now left with 15 players competing for 12 spots after Lamar Odom says he won't be able to play.

Odom told USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski that he won't be attending training camp this week to compete for an Olympic roster spot.

Odom's departure opens the door for new Clippers teammate Blake Griffin or possibly Memphis' Rudy Gay to make the team.

The remaining players expected to report to camp on Thursday in Las Vegas are: Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Andre Iguodala, James Harden, Eric Gordon and rookie Anthony Davis.  Davis will participate despite spraining his ankle Saturday.

The USA National Team's training begins July 6-12 with a training camp in Las Vegas.  The team will play the Dominican Republic at UNLV's Thomas & Mack center on July 12 to showcase the new team.

Following the training camp and showcase game, the USA national Team will train in Washington D.C. from July 13-15 and play an exhibition contest versus Brazil at the Verizon Center on July 16.

The team will then move on to preparations in Machester, England from July 17-18 with a game set against Great Britain at the Manchester Arena July 19.

The U.S. will conclude its exhibition games against the FIBA No. 3 ranked Argentina on July 22 and FIBA No. 2 ranked Spain July 24 in Barcelona.

The 2012 London Olympic Games begin July 27.
