Big-Time Rugby Hits

Wow. That is some intense stuff. Knowing the repercussions of such hard hitting on former football players (concussions, long term effects like a propensity towards clinical depression), it is scary to think what happens to rugby players suffering the same hits with no protection. It is a fun sport though. I wonder if they might not consider adding a little padding, or would that weaken it's image and appeal?

How many games do they play during their regular season and playoffs? What is the average number of years they play in their career? These are things I need to know about Rugby. There is no arguing how tough you must be to play it......

depending on the league, us here in england play over 20 games a year plus friendlies over a 6month period.

Just to clear things up, this video clip is showing Rugby League, not Rugby Union. They are both totally different codes of the game and Rugby Union is the one thats more well known and popular worldwide.
Also, the Rugby World Cup thats starting on the 7th of Sep this year is for Rugby Union.
