Achraf Hakimi was sent off for the second game in a row after clashing with Thomas Mangani late on in Paris Saint-Germain's 5-0 win over Ajaccio.

The Moroccan right-back returned to the PSG starting XI on Saturday after missing last week's 3-1 win at Troyes due to a ban issued for his red card against Lorient on April 30.

After being sent off in the 20th minute against Lorient, Hakimi managed to stay on the pitch until the 77th minute this weekend.

He was shown a straight red after a physical altercation with Thomas Mangani, who was also dismissed.

Mangani was initially on the receiving end of a shove from PSG defender Marquinhos after the Ajaccio midfielder appeared to kick Lionel Messi when the Argentine was already on the floor.

Hakimi then pushed Mangani, who reacted by aiming a closed fist towards the right-back's arm. Hakimi responded by throwing a fast left hand towards Mangani's neck.

Neither man appeared to do any damage in this exchange of flying limbs but referee Pierre Gaillouste decided to remove both of them from the game anyway.

PSG were already five goals ahead by this point.

Hakimi had netted PSG's second goal of the game, after Fabian Ruiz had opened the scoring midway through the first half.

Kylian Mbappe bagged a brace for the champions before an own goal from Mohamed Youssouf completed the rout.

Messi played the full 90 minutes in what was his first match since PSG lifted his suspension, after he apologized for skipping training to fly to Saudi Arabia earlier this month.

PSG are now six points clear of second-placed Lens with three rounds of fixtures left to play.
