Ange Postecoglou has made a significant impact at Tottenham Hotspur since his arrival last summer.

He made an instant impact, going unbeaten in his first 10 games, winning 8 of them.

The Australian manager’s impressive start was further highlighted by his consecutive Manager of the Month awards, underscoring his impact and garnering attention across the division.

Despite a massive injury crisis, he has continued to steer the team through challenges and showcasing significant progress, keeping the hopes for a top 4 finish alive.

With Jurgen Klopp’s impending departure from Liverpool, speculation about his successor has intensified, with Postecoglou’s name previously surfacing in discussions.

However, former Scottish footballer Alan Hutton believes the Tottenham manager is unlikely to switch sides after just one season, emphasising his commitment to Spurs’ project.

In an interview with Tottenham News, Hutton acknowledged that Postecoglou’s style of football would suit Liverpool but doubted the manager’s eagerness to leave Tottenham.

He emphasised Postecoglou’s contentment with his current position and his focus on improving the team despite occasional setbacks.

Despite facing challenges, including the race for a top-four spot, Hutton highlighted Postecoglou’s determination to continue his work at Tottenham.

He said:

“We’ve seen what he’s done at Tottenham in a short period of time. I think Liverpool have other options and Ange is happy where he is at this moment in time. He’s working on something, yes they’ve had blips but that’s because of their style and the way that they play.”

“They’re happy for a team to score one or two goals because they feel that they’ll score three or four and he’ll want to make this better. He’s had a really good first season, he’ll want to improve on that going into the next.”

“They’re still fighting for fourth, I know Villa are six points ahead but they’ve got two games in hand and really need to go on a run. The problem they’ll have at this moment in time is the fixtures that they’ve got.”

“The next three are the top teams so whether they can do that or not it is going to be really difficult, but I don’t see Ange leaving if I’m honest any time soon.”

With rumors of potential moves to other top clubs circulating, including Manchester City, Postecoglou’s loyalty and dedication to Spurs remain unwavering for now.
