Inter are set to turn their attention towards ensuring that they don’t lose any other players on free transfers after Milan Skriniar, with Alessandro Bastoni a priority.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have been stung by defender Skriniar’s decision to reject a new deal with the club and leave on a free transfer this summer, and are wary of the same thing happening again.

Inter are keen to offer fellow defender Bastoni a new deal that would keep him at the club until 2026 and increase his wages to match that of top earners such as Nicolo Barella.

The former Atalanta defender only has 18 months remaining on his current deal but is keen to commit his future to the club, and could join Matteo Darmian in penning a new contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Similarly, Inter are ready to offer midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu a new contract after his excellent form this season, with the Turkey star’s current deal due to expire in 2024.

Striker Edin Dzeko is expected to sign a new contract that will see him remain at Inter for another season, whilst a response to a proposal submitted to Stefan De Vrij.

Roberto Gagliardini and Dalbert will not be offered new terms and will be released in the summer, whilst a decision is yet to be reached on Samir Handanovic.
