Ange confirms Tottenham trio will not play for the club again this season

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Tottenham’s injured trio Manor Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon and Fraser Forster will not play for the club again this season.

All three players have been sidelined with long-term injuries. Manor Solomon has been sidelined since October last year due to a meniscus injury to his right knee.

While it is expected that he will return in a few weeks, Tottenham will prioritise his rehabilitation for the next season, ruling him out for the remainder of the current campaign.

Fraser Forster, the backup goalkeeper, has been out of action since mid-February as well due to a foot fracture sustained during training.

Despite initial hopes for a swift recovery, setbacks in his recovery have extended his timeline for return by another five weeks, effectively ruling him out for the season.

Ryan Sessegnon’s case is perhaps the most unfortunate, as the young winger has battled persistent hamstring injuries. After returning briefly in January, he suffered another setback during an FA Cup match, followed by a subsequent hamstring injury in February that required surgery. As a result, Sessegnon is set to miss the rest of the season.

Ange Postecoglou confirms trio’s season is over

Postecoglou addressed the situation in an interview with SPURSPLAY, expressing disappointment at the trio’s continued absence but acknowledging their ongoing rehabilitation efforts.

He said:

“Manor, Frase and Sess are unlikely to be involved again this year, but they are in rehab.”

Among these, Ryan Sessegnon’s overall future at the club remains uncertain, with many calling for him to be sold in the upcoming transfer window.
