Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta left his old Goodison Park stadium with a lot of regret.

The Gunners manager was not happy with how his team performed against Everton on Saturday.

Despite still having a lead at the top of the table, Arsenal did slip up in this contest, losing 1-0 to Sean Dyche's team.

Arteta stated post-game to reporters: "This is a difficult and challenging journey and there are going to be big stones in the middle and we have to overcome that."

Asked if the pressure got to his team, he added: I don't think so, we've had a lot of games already this season like this. But here, we didn't control the energy they were going to have (from the crowd)."

He then concluded: We're going to stay together. The best way to react is to understand who we are and how we got into this position. We struggled to control their direct type of game, and get back to the game we want to play.

Do those things right, manage the game better, do it better individually and collectively and we earn the right to win games. That is what we will do."
