Arsenal, Newcastle to battle for Borussia Dortmund star Julian Brandt

Arsenal and Newcastle United are set to do battle in the transfer market over the winter.

The two Premier League giants are setting their sights on a huge Bundesliga talent.

Per The Mirror, Borussia Dortmund star Julian Brandt has caught the eye of the Gunners and Magpies.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe wants more creativity and numbers in his squad, while Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is also an admirer of Brandt.

Brandt is in fine form, having managed four goals and four assists in 11 Bundesliga games this season.

He is now in his fifth season with BVB, with the club narrowly missing out on the title last season.
