Arsenal are eyeing RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan.

The Gunners are expected to bring in a new centre-half this month after losing Jurrien Timber for the season with an ACL injury.

Simakan has emerged as a cut-price option for Arsenal.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting Simakan is on Arsenal's shortlist.

Simakan was the "Plan B" earlier this summer, before they eventually landed Timber from Ajax.
