Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has matched a club record.

On Thursday night, with his goal to open the scoring in the victory against Lille (2-1) in the quarterfinals of the Conference League, Watkins became the first player to reach 25 goals in the same season for the Villans since Dwight Yorke achieved it in the 1995-96 season.

He said, "I'm happy to score and help the team. But I should have left the field with two goals."
