Atletico Madrid to confirm signing free agent Redouane Halhal

Atletico Madrid are set to confirm the signing of Redouane Halhal.

The former Montpellier defender came off contract in June and has remained a free agent.

Halhal has played for Morocco at the U23 African Nations Cup this season, but has refused several offers to return to club football.

Foot Mercato says Halhal has agreed a deal with Atletico to 2025, with a 12 month option dependent on senior appearances.

For the moment, the 20 year-old will be registered with Atletico B.
